Pupils continue through the EYFS in our pre-school class which they join during the year of their fourth birthday. Parents then apply for a place for their child in the Reception Class after which the children progress through Key Stages 1 & 2 until the age of eleven. A child can apply for a place at other ages depending upon ability and availability. Pupils progress is tracked to ensure each pupil reaches his or her own potential.

‘Our curriculum is good and covers all subjects of the National Curriculum.’

There is a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy and the well-planned schemes of work provide good opportunities for these skills to be practised across all relevant subjects.’

‘Provision for information and communication technology (ICT) is good.’ OFSTED 2009

We utilise the neighbouring Bushey Grove Leisure Centre for weekly sports activities using the Astroturf, Tennis courts and swimming pool.

The curriculum is enhanced by taking advantage of the tremendous opportunities on offer for educational visits in both the capital and greater London areas; pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 enjoy a residential visit to northern France. Visitors come into school to speak on a variety of themes including different faiths, professions and interests.

Pupils are prepared for entry into senior schools, across a wide range including the excellent independent and maintained schools in the area.

Various fund raising events are held throughout the year in support of charities and pupils.
